2022Domaine de chevalier rouge

The Merlots are intense in both aroma and flavor, with dense, tender and fleshy tannins. They are already expressing themselves with finesse and delicacy. The Cabernet Sauvignons, with their impressive potential, are undoubtedly exceptional. The first tastings leave us in awe, revealing an extraordinary intensity. Making up the majority of the blend (65 to 70%), they will contribute to making the 2022 Domaine de Chevalier red wine a vintage of anthology that will mark the history of the Domaine.

Pale gold color with bright hues. Intensely fruity and finely flowery nose with lots of freshness. Pêche de vigne, mango, apricot, star anise, in a bouquet of hawthorn and acacia flowers and honeysuckle. Dense, generous, greedy, lively palate, with a silky touch. Refined flesh, ripe and very deli-cate. Long, elegant finish with great finesse. The acidity is present, without weakness, and balances well the high level of concentration of this wine.

2019Domaine de chevalier rouge

Intense, fresh and refined nose, of red and black fruits. The aromas of black cherry, blackberry and blueberry dominate in an atmosphere of pine forest, peppery and sweet spices at the same time. Dense, delicate, delicious and energetic palate. Magnificent finesse concentration. Tense and elegant weft. Sweet flavors of ripe fruit are in-tense, salivating and accompanied by a gustatory complexity very typical of this cru. Humus, gra-phite and liquorice. Great overall freshness. Pretty gold pale yellow tint, crystalline. Bright nose of various and exotic white fruits mixed with citrus and white flowers. Vineyard peach, nectarine, pear, apricot, mango, lychee, citrus, acacia flower, hawthorn and honeysuckle. Burgundian palate: Ample palate, rich, tasty, gour-met, very refined and well held by an energetic liveliness. Long finish with a great fruity finesse.

2018Domaine de chevalier rouge

Bright color, dark red and black in the middle. The nose is generous, sharp and full of complexity, a cocktail of fresh and concentrated red and black fruits prevails. Some fine spicy, balsamic and empy-reumatic aromas stand by to brighten this bouquet. The palate is full-bodied, very sophisticated, fleshy, with a lot of density and complexity. The attack is shiny with exquisite flavors that remind us black cherry, blueberry and blackberry in a delicate at-mosphere of spicy white pepper and pinewood. The freshness and tension are here to balance this great richness. The wine is powerful but fresh, full-bodied but deli-cate. Those tasting paradox are the cornerstone of the greatest achievements. 2018Domaine de chevalier blanc

Complex precise and elegant nose, with aro-mas of vine peach, apricot, a great variety of exotic fruits (mango, lychee…) and white spring flowers (hawthorn, acacia, honey-suckle). Crystalline color, pale gold with green glint. Very pure, intense and complex nose. Vine peach, apricot and mango aromas. The white flowers are well present: acacia, elderberry, hawthorn and honeysuckle. As well as the spices: cinnamon and vanilla. All underlined by beautiful mineral notes of flint. The palate is fleshy, rich, complex and deli-cate, dominated by the concentrated flavours of white fruits and raised by delicate spices. The freshness is omnipresent, and the bal-ance is ideal. A long finish keeps the pleasure of this magnificent wine.

2016Domaine de chevalier rouge

Intense dark ruby purple color, black in the mid-dle. Bright and clear. A sharp nose with a great freshness, offers a concentrated and energetic cocktail of red and black fruits in a balsamic atmosphere with a hint of pine forest. Peppery spices and fresh notes of venison are integrated. A mineral complexity joins this entire bouquet. The attack is generous with a soft texture, silky and fruity. The sensation of a dense tannic struc-ture is immediate. The texture is tight but refined and supple. Great tannins coated with fruity pulp give both velvety and firm texture. Despite an accessible external appearance, this large-scale wine deserves time to develop his great poten-tial. Great length, great format. Crystalline, pale gold color. Punchy, pulpy, intense, fresh and complex nose. The aromas of grapefruit, orange, peach and mango blend with balsamic (pine) and mineral (quartz, flint) fragrances. The whole terroir of Chevalier is revealed in this great nose. On the palate, an exquisite and intense pulpy richness is combined with a beautiful fruity acidity. A cocktail of spicy and soft white fruits releases very silky flavors. This feeling of sweet-ness reflects the perfect maturity of healthy fruits. Intense dark red color. Very fresh nose, charming and attractive. On the palate, the attack is silky and delicious, it gives way to an exquisite fruity flesh with a very dense structure. Wine is fine, complex and elegant with a lovely mineral freshness. We find the silky and fleshy quality of 2009, com-bined with the beautiful structure of 2005 !

Intense, fresh and elegant nose, of vine peach, acacia blossom and honeysuckle mixed with mineral and smoky notes (quartz, silica). Delicately creamy and rich palate despite a good acid tension. 2005 Domaine de Chevalier dry white was very closed and earthy at the beginning. Today it has a very explosive nose of peach, apricot and nut with spices and earthy smoky flavors!!! 2003Domaine de chevalier blanc

Dark color, black with carmine red highlights. Intense, straightforward nose, fruity and complex. Mineral, spicy and balsamic touches. Sweet attack, fruity and glycerined. Very subtle contact on the palate. The mouth is wide, fairly well structured and silky. Red berries are present. Lot of charm. The finish is amazing. The tight tannins fruit- coated fruits make this wine of rare elegance. Surprising wine of balance, richness and refinement. Noble and elegant. Very good vintage.

1998Domaine de chevalier rouge

Dark garnet and brilliant color. On the nose, aromas of candied red fruit (blackberry, cherry) dominate. A spicy environment, licorice and hearth on the first nose. After swirling, more complexity and power, minerality appears, and subtle fruity aromas are released. On the palate, sumptuous tannic structure of cabernet sauvignon. Noble sweet tannins, with firmness that will continue to evolve. The specific and complex flavors of Chevalier are present: licorice, pine resin, minerals ... 1996Domaine de chevalier rouge

Beautiful deep ruby tones, the brilliance of this wine reflects the power. The nose expresses notes of toast, smoke "taste hearth" of great Cabernet Sauvignon, beautifully completed by a fruit palette: blackberry, blueberry, plum jam very noticeable. The attack is rich and sweet. The Grape maturity explodes above very silky tactile and full impression. 1995Domaine de chevalier rouge

Domaine de Chevalier 1995 red is a ripe wine today. Beautiful deep color of intense ruby. The nose is typical from Domaine de Chevalier. Over the fresh fruit we smell lovely earthy and mineral flavors combined with balsamic (cedar, Havana cigars). Very attractive nose... On the palate the wine is tight with good acidity, incredibly tasty. The tannins are highlighted by acidity without any hardness. The long fruity finish has a fresh, fine and delicate style. Decantation one hour before tasting (for aeration). Temperature 17.5°C Suggestion: roasted beef (fillet) or lamb leg rare cooked meat with meaty sauce and mushrooms.

1989Domaine de chevalier rouge

Great vintage, hot and early. This wine already tasted nicely in the barrel... Dark red colour. Slight change red-brown on the “disc”. Intense and complex nose. Undergrowth, leather, fresh earth, red and black fruits. Ample mouth, tasty and sweet. Very nice balance. The energy of this wine excites the taste buds and enhances youth supple tannins. It still has a great potential. Great length and finesse. Very distinguished wine.
